Who We Serve

Three sectors. One standard of counsel.

Our clients operate in different environments with different stakeholders, accountability structures, and definitions of success. We've built expertise for all three — and for the organizations that operate across all of them.

The stakeholder landscape is different in every sector. Our approach adapts accordingly.

Corporate & Commercial

We advise publicly traded companies, private firms, and industry associations on brand strategy, communications, and market positioning.

  • Fortune 500 companies
  • Mid-market growth companies
  • Private equity portfolio companies
  • Industry trade associations
  • Financial institutions
  • Healthcare and pharmaceutical
  • Energy and infrastructure
  • Technology and telecommunications

Government & Public Sector

Public sector communications requires a different set of skills — navigating procurement, public records, and the unique accountability structures of government institutions.

  • Federal agencies and departments
  • State governments and legislatures
  • Municipal and county government
  • Public utilities and authorities
  • Defense and national security
  • Transportation and infrastructure
  • Public health agencies
  • Educational institutions

Nonprofit & Civil Society

Mission-driven organizations face distinct communications challenges — multiple constituencies, limited budgets, and a need to demonstrate impact alongside intent.

  • National advocacy organizations
  • Foundations and philanthropies
  • Professional associations
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Community development organizations
  • Environmental and conservation groups
  • Social services organizations
  • International development NGOs

Many of our most complex engagements live at the intersection.

A corporation seeking regulatory approval needs to communicate simultaneously with government officials, news media, community stakeholders, and its own workforce. A nonprofit advocating for policy change needs to reach both legislators and the public. These intersections are where our cross-sector experience creates disproportionate value.

We are comfortable navigating the different languages, incentive structures, and accountability norms of all three sectors — and we understand how to build credibility across all of them simultaneously for clients who operate in multiple environments.

Public Affairs Campaigns

Coordinating corporate and NGO voices in support of or opposition to pending legislation or regulatory action.

Community Impact Communications

Helping corporations communicate their community investment in ways that resonate with both government partners and civil society.

Multi-Stakeholder Campaigns

Designing campaigns that require simultaneous engagement of corporate, government, and nonprofit audiences with a coherent overall narrative.

How we structure our work with clients.

Retainer Engagements

Our primary engagement model. Retainer clients receive dedicated advisory capacity on a monthly basis, with access to the full practice across all eight service areas. Minimum engagement is six months.

Project Engagements

Defined-scope projects with clear deliverables and timelines. Common for strategy documents, research studies, message testing, and discrete communications campaigns.

Advisory Engagements

Senior-level strategic counsel on a defined advisory relationship, typically for organizations that have internal communications capacity but need external perspective on strategy and high-stakes decisions.

Crisis Engagements

Immediate-response advisory for organizations in the middle of a reputational, regulatory, or communications crisis. We maintain capacity to respond within 24 hours for qualified crisis situations.

We take on a limited number of new clients each year.

Reach out to discuss your situation. We'll be direct about whether there's a fit — and if not, we'll point you in the right direction.
